Treda Berry

 

Ms. Berry holds a BA in Music Education with a Voice concentration from Bennett College, a Masters degree from Appalachian State University and Theater certification from North Carolina Central University. As a retired choral music teacher in the Kings Mountain and Charlotte-Mecklenburg school districts, she has years of experience working with vocal students and especially with the developing singer.


Ms. Berry feels that singers should master vocal technique as well as musicianship. She also believes that learning to read music is important for the instrumentalist and the vocalist.


Ms.Berry has served as an adjudicator and clinician for choral events across the state. She also served as director of choirchime and handbell groups. During her teaching career, she has been affiliated with  professional organizations that include National Association of Music Educators, the North Carolina Music Educators Association, the American Choral Directors Association, American Guild of English Handbell Ringers, National Education Association and NC Association of Educators.
